It isn’t every day that our favorite evening dramas take a page out of our favorite children’s literature, but that’s what happened on Castle Season 7 Episode 3. Sort of.

YOU GUYS! CLOAKING SUIT = INVISIBILITY CLOAK!

Harry Potter meets Rick Castle! Seriously. The only thing missing last night was a Marauder’s Map, which might have helped Rick and Kate find their way back to one another a little more easily.

Caskett have been through the wringer lately, so the more intimate part of their relationship has gone untouched. Last night they vowed to get their relationship back on track by hitting the sheets.

After a dry spell, things get awkward, but they weren’t so awkward for Kate and Rick. Except for that whole invisibility thing.

The whodunit this week featured a man who had been stabbed through the chest by a pool cue while all the windows and doors into the room remained locked. For a moment it seemed like he might have killed himself (and dear lord what a weird and gruesome way to go).

But nope. A scorned woman took him out through a sneak attack brought on by wearing a cloaking suit.

The idea that someone could be lingering in their bedroom watching them get horizontal nearly derailed their reunion. That would be a mood killer for all but the most voyeuristic among us.

Beckett’s version of invisibility definitely helped them both ignore their thoughts of being watched and finally, the two reunited. Things may have been forever changed for them following his time away, but they’re determined to get back where they started.

Caskett fans won’t complain about that.
