An NBC Dateline segment called You Might Be Rich has brought to the forefront something that many people don’t realize. There are millions of dollars in unclaimed funds that belong to everyday citizens in all 50 states and Canada. The key to this information is a site called NAUPU – National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators.
The money may be from old bank accounts, refunds due from utility company, old insurance policies, forgotten paychecks, inheritance, stocks and the list goes on.
How do you find out if there is a windfall waiting for you? We’re including a link to a site that will allow you to simply click on the state where you reside, or have resided in and you will be taken to a state database that lists unclaimed funds in alphabetical order.
