E! Online’s “Ask The Answer Bitch” section got their hands on a survey from the Association of Celebrity Personal Assistants. Take a look at some of the facts on what you could look forward to if you were a celebrity assistant:
- Some good news: Most personal assistants get health insurance, and nearly half (42 percent) get to travel first class when working for their boss. Not that they can ever confirm that, as 56 percent of assistants must sign nondisclosure agreements. (Note from the B!tch to the other 44 percent: “Call me”.)
- There is a small but real chance, if you take a job as a personal assistant, that you’ll be asked to break the law. Like, say, attend traffic school pretending to be your boss or buy illegal substances. That stuff comes up in the survey, too, with 11 percent saying they’ve been asked to do something verboten.
- And of course, there’s the wacky stuff. When asked about the craziest or most fun thing they’ve ever been asked to do, respondents list stuff ranging from “buy porn” to “transport stool samples to doctor” to “pick boss’ dog’s nose” to “care for a Tibetan mushroom—change the goat milk daily to keep it alive.” However, the most interesting response might be this: “Have a glass of wine, and take a break.”
