ABC has announced that Samantha Harris will not be returning as co-host of Dancing With the Stars when the 10th season begins on March 22, 2010. She and Tom Bergeron have been working together on the reality show since 2006.
Harris said, “It could not have been more of a dream job. I loved every single second of it and I’ve made lifelong friends at the show.”
What will she do next? Samantha plans to focus on her other two jobs. She is a correspondent at The Insider and is on Entertainment Tonight Weekend.
Bergeron weighed in on the departure of his colleague and friend. He acknowledged, “I’m going to miss Samantha. We had a nice rapport off-camera and on. I could see that her workload was picking up on The Insider. As somebody who’s been known to juggle a few jobs myself, I know how that situation can pull you in eight different directions.”
The last season of DWTS featured some interesting celebrities, including Joanna Krupa who was featured in Playboy and in several controversial PETA ads.
The biggest shocker of all was the fact that the best dancer on Season 9 didn’t win the competition. See who did win here.
