The latest celebrity to fall victim to death rumors is actor Russell Crowe. Early this morning the Internet starting buzzing with news that the “Robin Hood” star had taken a fatal fall while filming on location in Austria. That should be the first clue that the story is a mere fallacy. For whatever reason, a great many celebrity death rumors seen to suggest that a celebrity died from a fall.
There are a few theories on how the story originated. One is that website fakeawish.com fabricated the story for entertainment. The site is also responsible for the “deaths” of George Clooney, Kristen Stewert and Natalie Portman.
Others are blaming New York radio station Z100 for spreading the rumor. Either way, not exactly the best way to provide viewer grins if you ask us.
Unfortunately a few other news outlets picked up the storyline scent and reported it as factual. Let us clear up the rumor and once again reassure you that Russell Crowe IS alive and well.
