When steamy pictures began circulating on the Internet of singer Rihanna and MLB player Matt Kemp, theories of their relationship were quickly shot down. For months people speculated that the couple were a lot more than just friends, but the pair chose to keep everyone in the dark until now.
The singer has finally opened up and shed some light on her romance with the LA Dodgers center fielder. “I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy”, Rihanna told Elle magazine for their July issue.
“I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace,” she says. “It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family”, the pop star added.
It’s hard to think of Rihanna without thinking of the violent incident that happened with Chris Brown, something she also discussed with Elle. “A year ago, I was very confused because he was my best friend,” she admitted. “All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives – not only our friendship, but our lives.”
She acknowledged, “I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him – it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.”
Her fans are definitely relieved to see the 22-year-old superstar so happy, especially after watching her very public break up with Chris Brown and all of the drama following their domestic incident. Congrats RiRi!
