Raz-B, a founding member of the R&B boy band B2K, was performing at a club in China Thursday night when a fight broke out that has landed him in a fight for his life.
The 28-year-old entertainer, who has toured in Asia for the past three years, was attempting to break up a crowd brawl when he was struck in the face with a bottle that caused a significant gash to his mouth. He had the lip wound stitched up at a nearby hospital during an hour long surgical procedure before returning to his hotel.
Raz-B was rushed back to the hospital the following morning after one of his backup dancers couldn’t rouse him from sleep. Publicist Toy Jones said, “He is in a coma and needs as many prayers as possible.”
Doctors are calling the situation dire after conducting tests for brain activity. He remains on a ventilator.
