Piers Morgan hit Twitter to defend Justin Bieber in the wake of a slew of bad press the pop singer has picked up during a decidedly tough week in London.
The British journalist and CNN host tweeted, “I’m backing @justinbieber in paparazzi-gate. That photographer was a revoltingly rude, ignorant, foul-mouthed hooligan.”
A pap went off on Bieber and his bodyguards not long after the singer was released from an overnight stay in a London hospital. Taunts of “f–k off back to America” and “f–king little moron” enraged the 19-year-old, who fired back a few expletives of his own before being stuffing into a waiting SUV by his handlers – video here.
Manager Scooter Braun seemed pleased with Friday night’s final O2 Arena show, “Touch kid. proud night. once again he always finishes the show. full out. true pro. now get better and rest up! strange night but proud night.”
He added, “@justinbieber u got ALOT of love out there. U stepped up tonight and reading thru these tweets your fans appreciated it. proud to watch.”
Bieber needed oxygen backstage during Thursday night’s performance and ended up in the hospital after collapsing. Following last night’s gig, he tweeted, “Still a little short of breathe tonight but was an incredible show.”
The teen has two days off before picking up on the next leg of the Believe Tour, which will take him to Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Germany and Austria over the next three weeks.
