Oprah Winfrey is speaking out about Chris Brown‘s recent comments that the talk show host should have been more supportive of him following his February 8 assault on fellow R&B singer and former girlfriend Rihanna.
“I commend Oprah on being like, ‘This is a problem,’ but it was a slap in my face,” Brown said of a March episode of Oprah’s show devoted to domestic violence, which was “dedicated to all the Rihannas of the world.”
“I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could’ve been more helpful, like, ‘OK, I’m going to help both of these people out,'” Brown told People magazine.
