Nicole Richie was taken by her mother to L.A. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Monday after complaining of pain following a car accident. She and another passenger were rear-ended in her Land Rover by photographer driving a Jeep Cherokee in Beverly Hills.
The man in the rear vehicle has been identified a Eduardo Arrivabene. He was taken to police headquarters where he was arrested for driving without a license. He was not able to provide proper identification according to Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police, and is believed to be an undocumented worker.
According to Arrivabene, he dropped his camera on the floor of the vehicle and was trying to retrieve it when he plowed into the back of Richie’s car.
Richie gave birth to son Sparrow James Midnight Madden less than four weeks ago. She and partner Joel Madden of the band Good Charlotte also have a 20-month-old daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden.
