ABC has released the first photos of Neil Patrick Harris wearing a fat suit for the upcoming episode of “How I Met Your Mother,” scheduled to air on November 9.
In the episode, Harris’s character Barney has packed on a few pounds while dating Robin (Cobie Smulders).
“It’s a phenomenon that a lot of people can relate to, certainly more than a few people on our writing staff. It’s relationship gut,” says How I Met Your Mother’s executive producer and co-creator Carter Bays.
Harris was more than happy to put on a fat suit for the episode, says Bays. “He was loving it. He was like, ‘Give me the biggest fat suit you’ve got.’”
