The eighth season of the hit NBC reality show The Biggest Loser: Second Chances is winding down. During the December 1, 2009 episode, we caught a glimpse of the four remaining contestants at home. For the past 60 days, Danny Cahill, Rudy Pauls, Liz Young and Amanda Arlauskas have been continuing their weight loss journey while surrounded by family and friends.
Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels paid a surprise visit to their protegees and we also learned that the group would be running a 26.2 miles marathon when they returned to The Biggest Loser campus prior to weigh-in. All four contestants finished the race, earning a $10,000 check for their favorite charity.
The last weigh-in prior to the finale showed that Danny, 39, lost an amazing 59 pounds during his stay at home – virtually a pound a day. This brings his weight to 229 pounds. His 201 pound weight loss makes him the fourth contestant to break that barrier.
Rudy, 31, who admitted he was hard pressed to find the time to workout, lost a respectable 43 pounds, bring his total weight loss to 189 pounds. His weight is currently 253 pounds.
Liz and Amanda each dropped 16 pounds during their time at home. Liz has lost 85 pounds and Amanda 80 pound. Amanda now weighs 170 pounds and Liz, the oldest contestant to make it to the final four, is currently at 182.
