For any burglars out there thinking about breaking into one of Kid Rock‘s homes — you will definitely want to heed a new warning issued by the singer.

Following the arrest of a 43-year-old suburban Detroit man for attempted burglary at the Southern rockers Michigan residence, the entertainer issued a stern response on his blog page.

He wrote, “Thank God I was not on the property at the time of this attempted break in. I am an avid hunter and marksman and I will not hesitate to shoot anyone who has myself or family in fear for our lives. I take the invasion of my personal space very seriously regardless of who you are.”

Police viewed Kid’s surveillance video footage that showed a man ramming the gate in an attempt to break into the property. Kid Rock posted photos of the vehicle and a man on crutches and asked for help from the public, offering a $5,000 reward.

Two separate tips came into the sheriff’s dispatch center, resulting in the apprehension of the suspect and the impounding of a 1994 Ford Club Wagon.

The unidentified man remains in the Oakland County jail and will be arraigned Monday, August 5.
