Kate Gosselin sat down with Meredith Vieira on Monday October 5, 2009 to discuss the most recent antics of her estranged husband Jon Gosselin, specifically the fact that he cleaned out their joint checking account over the weekend to the tune of $230,000.

According to the reality show mom, Jon left her $1,000 to run the household and she tearfully explained that it isn’t even enough money to cover the few bills she currently has in her purse. Kate’s lawyers will be in court this morning to attempt to force her husband to replace the money that he removed from the family account.

He appeared on Larry King Live Thursday night with his new lawyer Mark Jay Heller to discuss the fact that he wants his kids off the Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality show that will soon have a name change and a new format. Beginning in early November it will be called Kate Plus 8, with Jon in a very diminished role.

Through his lawyer, he sent a cease and desist notification to TLC, indicating that they are no longer allowed on his premise. He took the added step of posting a warning sign on his gate. According to Kate’s lawyer Marty Singer, that is a joint decision and he cannot make it alone. The sign has since been removed from the Wernerville home where Kate lives with the children. For now TLC filming remains on hold.

Kate believes that the new lawyer representing Jon is providing him with bad counsel and she fears that he will be led further down a path to destruction. She went as far as to suggest that her soon to be ex-husband is very susceptible to the whims of other people and is very easily led. She believes that he is acting crazy and that his most recent interviews don’t even sound like his words. She is deeply concerned about his mental health.

Jon told Larry King that he is currently seeing a therapist. Might we suggest that he schedule another appointment very, very soon. We’re just saying…
