Sadly for those friends and family member who are grieving the loss of Diff’rent Strokes star Gary Coleman, they may end up seeing photos of the celebrity after his death.
TMZ is reporting that they were contacted by a source who is looking to sell four death photos of Coleman. The entertainment website saw only one picture and declined to look at the rest, or purchase them.
The photograph that TMZ saw showed Coleman hooked up to a ventilator with his eyes closed. The other three were said to have been death photos taken after the childhood star had been taken off of life support.
The asking price is in the low five figures and although TMZ declined to purchase them, the sad truth is that someone will.
UPDATE: It turns out that the photos in question were actually taken by Shannon Price and her family. In one photo she is standing next to Gary’s hospital bed. Price’s lawyer did acknowledge that his client and her family did orchestrate the photo session, but they never intended for the photos to get out to the public. He is adamant that Shannon “is in no way getting compensated for these pictures.”
TMZ indicates that Shannon Price is indeed set to get a cut of the action. The photos were sold to The Globe for $10,000.
