Go Red For Women “celebrates the energy, passion and power we have as women to band together to wipe out heart disease and stroke.” Bitten and Bound is wearing our red today and so is 96.3 NOW on-air personality Danni Starr, a former Miss Minnesota International.
B&B: What does “Go Red” mean to you Danni?
Danni: “A lot, both of my parents are under 50 and suffer from high blood pressure. That’s really young! The thing about heart disease is that is doesn’t discriminate. It affects white, black, young, old. That’s why it is soooo important for people to be heart healthy!”
B&B: What are you doing to get the awareness out?
Danni: “Since my time as Miss Minnesota I continue to be a face of awareness for Go Red, it has become part of my life. When I gave up my crown I did not give up the Go Red mission! I go red everyday – not just on Feb 5th.”
B&B: Will you be wearing red today?
Danni: “Of course!!!! You’d be surprised to see how much red I have in my closet.”
