The two-night finale begins Monday on the popular ABC reality ballroom dancing competition that added to twist during season 15, renaming the returning celebrity action ‘Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars.’
Thirteen previous contestants, mostly winners, were invited back to determine the ultimate mirror ball trophy winner of all time.
For the first time in many seasons, the three remaining competitors are women: Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, daytime soap star Kelly Monaco and television host Melissa Rycroft.
The trio will battle it out with the help of their pro partners in a freestyle competition tonight.
Johnson and Monaco know all about winning because they both have a mirror ball trophy on the mantle. Rycroft and her pro Tony Donolani finished third during her previous stint in 2009. They are embarking on a personal mission to get that monkey off their backs once and for all.
