Cosmopolitan magazine is staging a huge publicity stunt at Miami’s Nikki Beach. The publication is gathering 1,200 women to spell out COSMO on the beach. The aerial photo will appear in their August issue of Cosmopolitan. There is a record that they are intending to break with this gathering of willing scantily clad females.
Australian Cosmo pulled off a similar Guiness Book of World Records feat as seen in the photo above. Their U.S. counterpart is banking on a better turn out and plan a four page spread to showcase the extravaganza. Corporate sponsors on board are Old Navy and Nivea.
The event will take place on the hottest beach in Miami on April 18, 2008. Sign up is required by April 11th for all 18-34 year old woman who want to be eligible for lots of free loot.
The Cosmo website reminds woman to BYOB – Bring Your Own Bikini. They are also instructing participants to come with hair and make up done, and photo ready. Don’t forget the sunscreen.
