Charlie Sheen‘s ex-wife Brooke Mueller has reportedly entered a rehab facility to receive help with addiction issues associated with the prescription drug Adderall, a highly-addictive and often abused psycho-stimulant used to treat attention deficit disorder.
Her latest medical emergency occurred several days ago when Brooke was rushed to the hospital after an assistant called 911 to report her employer was unresponsive following a suspected drug overdose.
Upon her release from an L.A. emergency room, the mother of twins was quick to deny any wrongdoing with drugs, while finally acknowledging that she may have taken too many pills while working on a deadline with her jewelry business. It turns out she also had alcohol in her system, a violation of her Aspen probation.
Mueller will stay at an undisclosed treatment facility for an undetermined time. Her lawyer, Yale Galanter said, “Brooke was uncomfortable with the way Adderall was making her behave. She continues her lifelong battle with drug addiction by taking these steps herself to prevent a further drug relapse.”
Her parents and a nanny will continue in their support roles as caregivers for her sons Bob and Max while she attempts to get her demons under control. We wish her well.
