A girl you can take home! George Clooney’s dad is breaking his silence on news of his engagement to Amal Alamddin.
Clooney’s dad, 80 year old broadcaster Nick Clooney, told US Weekly, “We are thrilled. We have had an opportunity to interact with this wonderful young woman and these are two great people.”
Is that darling or what?
Nick Clooney went on to say, “We are thrilled at their decision and we hope for them the best.”
The former ER hottie’s mom Nina Clooney is similarly pleased, telling the Daily Mail, she is “extremely happy,” adding, “Amal’s a lovely girl. I like her very much.”
As earlier reported, Clooney and Alamuddin were engaged a couple of weeks ago, just recently celebrating and sharing with friends. This will be Clooney’s second marriage, his first being to Talia Balsam from 1989-1993. Since then, the 52 year old has been famously single.
Now he’s met his match in the 36 year old British lawyer, and I think they make a fabulous pair!
