Another conscious uncoupling? Craig Ferguson announced on Monday April 28th that he would be stepping down as host of CBS’ Late Late Show at the end of 2014.

“CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are ‘consciously uncoupling,'” Ferguson told his studio audience. “But we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much,”

Ferguson has hosted the show since 2005, and there was wide speculation about his future with the network after it was announced Stephen Colbert would be replacing David Letterman on The Late Show.
There does not appear to be any bad blood between Ferguson and Colbert, Ferguson tweeting his congratulations after the announcement. But really…how could there not be? Ten years in and you get the shaft?
There’s some bad blood somewhere. Has to be.
CBS has not announced who will be replacing Ferguson. He’s not my favorite late night host — his humor doesn’t do it for me. Hoping they get someone great to follow Colbert!
