‘The Voice’ crowned Tessanne Chin their newest champion Tuesday night during the finale of season five. Her coach was PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man of the Year, rocker Adam Levine.

He said to his protege prior to her victory, “You are just capable of anything and it blows me away. I know in my mind and heart you are the winner of this show.”

The 28-year-old backup singer from Jamaica performed ‘Love Can Move Mountains’ with Celine Dion earlier in the evening.

She debuted the winner’s song, ‘Tumbling Down,’ after being crowned the new champion and will reprise the performance while riding on a float during the Rose Bowl parade on January 1, 2014.

The song was written by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic fame and is an original composition for the winner of ‘The Voice.’

Runner-up honors went to Jacquie Lee, who was coached by Christina Aguilara. Third place went to Adam Levine’s other finalist Will Champlin.

Coach Blake Shelton came up empty this season for the first time after winning the first four seasons of the popular NBC singing competition.

Levine and Shelton will return for season six. Rounding out the upcoming coaching panel will be season four celebrities Usher and Shakira. The show is set to premiere on Feb. 24, 2014 at 8 PM ET/PT.
