Demi Lovato has decided after two season to walk away from ‘The X Factor’ in order to spend 2014 focusing on her music.
The ‘Made in the USA’ singer confirmed the report during Wednesday’s ‘X Factor,’ “I started this show being a singer and a musician, and it’s time that I go back to that. I’m so excited for 2014 because I’m going to dedicate it completely and totally to music.”
Not long ago she voiced her desire to return to her roots. She acknowledged, “I think ultimately my main thing is singing. Maybe movies once in a while, if the right role comes along.”
The 21-year-old will kick off her first arena tour in Vancouver on February 9 with Cher Lloyd, Little Mix and Fifth Harmony. In addition, she has a tell-all book in the works.
Her first order of business will be a stint at R & R, “I will take the month of January completely off! I want to vacation! I want to watch crime shows on my DVR on my couch … I need to do some exercising and I don’t really have time to do it. I love horseback riding and never get to do that stuff, but January is my time to do all of that.”
Simon Cowell is already negotiating a replacement, “There is somebody in mind who we’ve wanted for a while for this show that has suddenly become available. He’s larger than life and would be spectacular.” Justin Timberlake, perhaps?
