According to Page Six, ABC’s ‘The View’ is very interesting in bringing Hoda Kotb into their talk show fold as a co-host.

A media insider claims the network has already reached out to Kotb’s camp. The source acknowledged, “Hoda addresses several of ABC’s needs. She has news experience, which is something ‘The View’ has not had since Meredith Vieira left.”

Hoda Kotb has been rocking the popular fourth hour of TODAY on NBC with co-host Kathie Lee Gifford for the past seven years. They picked up a Daytime Emmy in 2010 for their zany antics – that include drinking wine during their slightly irreverent weekday broadcasts.

The 48-year-old television personality graduated with a degree in journalism from Virginia Tech in 1986. Her first job took her to Cairo, Egypt as a news assistant on CBS. She got her first big break in 1998 when she landed a correspondent’s job with ‘Dateline’ on NBC, a position she still holds.

Kotb penned a New York Times bestseller in 2010 titled, Hoda: How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer, and Kathie Lee.

The memoir detailed her 2007 mastectomy and reconstructive surgery following a bout with breast cancer. Hoda allowed TODAY cameras to follow her throughout her cancer battle and her journey was aired after she was got a clean bill of health.
