Country star Dierks Bentley helped raise nearly a half-million dollars in a musical tribute to the families of the 19 firemen who died in Arizona in June.

On Monday night the Phoenix native was the host of Country Cares Concert held at Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Joining Bentley were Randy Houser, The Band Perry and David Nail.

Dierks sang a special version of his song, ‘Home,’ which included a bagpipe intro by the Rural Metro Pipe and Drum Corp. There was also a photo tribute to the Granite Mountain Hotshots.

The sole survivor of the 20 member fire crew, Brendan McDonough, joined Dierks on stage and was presented a check for $476,000 for the family members who are still grieving the loss of their loved ones.

Randy Houser tweeted after the event, “Amazing night! I am very proud to have been a part of this!”

During a service for the fallen last month, sole survivor McDonough was wearing his firefighting uniform as he was embraced by V.P. Joe Biden. He told those assembled, “I loved my brothers. We’re here to remember them.”
