Penelope Cruz gave birth to a baby daughter Monday at Ruber International Hospital in Madrid, Spain, with husband Javier Bardem at her side.
Their blessed event came on July 22, the same day that Prince William and Duchess Kate gave birth to the future King of England.
Cruz, 39, and Bardem, 44, stepped out over the weekend with a large group of family members, and the media had a field day mocking photos of her expansive baby bump. Little did they know that the arrival of the couple’s second child was fast at hand.
The Academy Award-winning pair wed in 2010 and have a two-year-old son Leonardo, who was born in Los Angeles at Cedars Sinai Hospital.
