Beyonce recently took part in the first of many photo shoots as part of her new $50 million deal with Pepsi.
A new ad campaign will kick off in early 2013 featuring the entertainer in commercials, her likeness prominently displayed as life-size cardboard cutouts in stores and on soda cans.
Tied into the multi-year deal will be the promotion of a single from her upcoming album, expected to be released in time for her Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 3, a mega-event sponsored by PepsiCo.
The soft drink giant said, “Consumers are seeking a much greater authenticity in marketing from the brands they love. It’s caused a shift in the way we think about deals with artists, from a transactional deal to a mutually beneficial collaboration.”
This is not the first time Beyonce has worked with Pepsi. She made a splash for the brand back in 2003 with Britney Spears and Pink.
