Mexican authorities confirmed on Sunday night that multi-Grammy nominated singer Jenni Rivera, 43, was among seven people found in the wreckage of a Learjet in Nuevo Leon.

The small plane carrying the Latin crossover singing sensation and her entourage left Monterrey at 3:15 a.m. following a concert. The group was scheduled to arrive in Toluca, near Mexico City, at sunrise but lost contact with air traffic controllers 10 minutes after takeoff.

Rivera, from Long Beach, California, sold over 20 million albums worldwide and was recently named People En Espanol‘s 25 Most Powerful Women.

She recently split with her third husband, baseball player Esteban Loaiza.

The entertainer had been filming a reality show, ‘I Love Jenni,’ documenting her life as a singer and the mother of five children ranging in age from 27 to 11. The show was set to debut next month.

Among the dead were her publicist, lawyer and makeup artist.

Shortly after takeoff someone from Jenni’s group posted one final photo on Twitter:
