In looking back at this year’s celebrity hair makeovers, we believe the styles getting the most press have been the lovely ladies who have gone from long and luxurious to ultra short.
Falling into that category in 2012 were Miley Cyrus, Anne Hathaway, Elisabeth Moss and Kellie Pickler. While the teen star and the ‘Mad Men’ celeb were simply looking for an edgy change, the A-list actress did it for a film role in ‘Les Miserables’ and the former ‘Idol’ contestant shaved hers in support of a pal who is undergoing chemotherapy.
Moss has since gone back to brown tresses and is letting her hair grow out. Miley has gone the other way, with each subsequent shave leaving her with less hair.
Rocking bangs, a popular craze this year, were TODAY co-host Natalie Morales, Paris Jackson, Kristin Chenoweth and Kim Kardashian.

Going for a side shaved ‘do were Rihanna, DJ Skrillex, Kesha and Avril Lavigne.
We gave Lindsay Lohan a category all of her own since she bridged the color spectrum from platinum blonde to deep red with strawberry blonde mid-year. She even rocked dark wigs for her role in ‘Liz and Dick’ but managed to stay away from that hue in her personal life.
