Finally addressing rumors that have swirled about his sexuality for quite some time, “White Collar” actor Matt Bomer outed himself over the weekend at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards.
Bomer used his acceptance speech for an award for his activism in the fight against AIDS and HIV to publicly thank his partner, Simon Halls.
Bomer thanked White Collar co-star Diahann Carroll, who presented him the New Generation Arts and Activism Award, for being an inspiration to him. He then thanked his family, including Halls and their three children, Kit, Walker, and Henry, for “teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.”
The 34-year-old actor has been very private about his personal life, and previously declined to comment on rumors, saying, “I don’t care about that at all. I’m completely happy and fulfilled in my personal life.”
Halls is a well-known Hollywood publicist.
