Laurence Fishburne’s daughter Montana is defending her decision to become a porn star.
“Being in an adult film is not a big deal to me,” Montana Fishburne explains. “It’s something I always wanted to do. I have always been comfortable in my body and with my sexuality.”
And, contrary to Montana’s previous assertion that Kim Kardashian’s success is due to the release of her explicit video, Montana claims she is not doing an adult film to launch a mainstream acting career, “I am not in porn to get into acting. I am in porn because I wanted to be in porn,” she says bluntly.
Montana tells People she did not seek approval from her parents before signing with Vivid Entertainment for the film.
“I had already filmed it by the time they knew so I didn’t give them a chance to talk me out of it,” says Montana, who moved out of her Academy Award nominated dad’s house when she turned 18.
Montana, the youngest of Fishburne’s children from his first marriage, admits that her father is devastated by her decision, “I hear through relatives that he’s upset but I haven’t talked to him directly for him to tell me his feelings.”
She goes on to say that she did not mean to upset him and hopes he will warm to the idea of his daughter as a porn star. “I hope it’s not hurting him. It wasn’t done to hurt him,” she says. “But I think it will take time and talking through the issues. Eventually, I hope he will be proud of me.”
