Two weeks ago Janine Lindemulder said she planned to fight for 50/50 custody her daughter Sunny James. Currently the little girl is staying with her father Jesse James, who was awarded full custody by the courts last year.
Janine lost custody of Sunny in 2009 when she was sentenced to six months behind bars for tax evasion. She remains tight on cash, so Lindemulder wants her daughter back and has requested that Jesse pay her legal fees for fighting him in court.
James is reportedly ready for the custody fight and filed new declarations with the court last Friday. Julie James England and Sgt. Mark T. England, Jesse’s sister and brother-in-law, have written candid letters to the judge that attest to Janine’s drug and alcohol use.
Julie’s paperwork stated that 2 years ago she received a disturbing call from Janine. She was slurring her words and said that she was letting 4-year-old Sunny drive the car. Janine told her that a neighbor gave her some numbing pills from Mexico and some tequila, and now she and Sunny had the munchies and needed to run to the store.
James’ sister immediately called one of Janine’s neighbors to check on the situation. The neighbor found Janine passed out in her car in the garage, with Sunny there as well.
Brother-in-law Mark also paints a very messed up picture of Janine, saying that in the past she asked him if he could score her some drugs. She said she needed Soma, Vicodin, Lunesta and Ambien. England said that he had previously seen her perform at a strip-club and watched her do lines of cocaine before she went on stage.
The custody hearing is slated for June 17. We should state that Janine currently claims to be clean and sober. We are guessing Jesse will try to dig up as much dirt as he can on his ex, especially in light of the fact that his whole life has imploded following a major sex scandal that derailed his marriage to Sandra Bullock.
