Courteney Cox has friends in high places. So when rumors began circulating that she asked her BFF Jennifer Aniston to appear in her film “Scream 4”, it didn’t seem too far fetched. As a favor to her bestie, Aniston was reported to be playing a woman killed off in the opening scene of the movie, something that is signature to the “Scream” franchise.
If you were excited to see Jen in a horror film, you will have to settle for her role in the 1993 scary movie “Leprechaun“, because according to sources, the former Friends star will not appear in “Scream 4”.
“The casting report is not true”, said a rep for the Weinstein Company, the producers of the film. It’s too bad! People would love to see Rachel and Monica back together, oops! We mean Courteney and Jennifer! We hate it when rumors don’t pan out.
The movie will bring back some familiar characters played by Courteney and husband David Arquette, as well as Neve Campbell. Newcomers to the horror flick include: Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, and Lake Bell.
