Andrew Garcia had it rough this season. He was the contestant that just couldn’t seem to find his niche. I really enjoyed his voice but he definitely struggled all season long. You’d never know it though because the guy struts around with a huge smile.
He has this quiet presence when he walked into the room, but when he talked about music you could tell right away that it’s his true love — and that is when his personality comes out.
Garcia says he has been in the studio already and he hopes to work with the likes of Diddy, Pharell and Usher. He believes the sky is the limit and hopes that he will get to work with many successful artists.
Andrew says that lots of people have been telling him that his sound is similar to Taio Cruz, who sings the smash hit “Break Your Heart.” I see the similarity too.
This AI contestant finished Season 9 in 9th place, eliminated the same week as Katie Stevens. He is very happy with his Idol journey, looks forward to the Idol Summer Tour, and expects to keep making music afterward.
