Speculation on the death of Marie Osmond‘s son Michael Blosil can now cease. On February 26, after leaving a note on his bed, 18-year-old Michael jumped from his apartment balcony falling eight floors to his death. Today the Los Angeles County Coroner announced the official cause of death as “multiple blunt force trauma”.
Despite the fact that Blosil had suffered from depression and substance abuse, autopsy reports stated that no illegal drugs were found in his system and the death was ruled a suicide. The report continued, “The toxicology report was completely negative.”
His close friend Ruthann Clawson received his last written words, a note that was left on his bed for her. She said, “He wanted me to tell his family that he loves them, because he was scared to do it himself.” She also revealed that he had confided in her that he had tried three previous times to hang himself.
After the death of her son, Marie expressed her pain in a statement: “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
