Three president’s stood side by side at the White House on Saturday to launch an aggressive private fund-raising drive for the earthquake-stricken nation of Haiti.

George W. Bush and Bill Clinton joined Barack Obama in the Rose Garden to kick off the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. President Obama said, “These two leaders send an unmistakable message to the people of Haiti and the world. In a moment of need, the United States stands united.

This was a rare Bush appearance, his first on a national level since he left office one year ago.

Evangelist Pat Robertson caused a firestorm of reaction after he made controversial comments regarding the plight of Haiti.

Actor George Clooney announced that he will host a telethon to raise awareness and solicit donations for Haiti.
