Britney Spears performed at Burswood Dome in Perth, Australia on Friday night. While well received by many, at least 100 angry concert-goers left in a huff because they weren’t happy with her set up, her disinterest or the fact that she wasn’t actually singing her songs.

Wendy di Renzo paid $148 and was angry for a number of reasons. Apparently Britney’s crew didn’t set up any of her big screens to project the show for maximum viewing. Some fans paid as much as $1,500 and were understandably among the most irate.

Renzo went on to say that the pop star couldn’t even manage to give them a personal greeting by naming the city of Perth in her opening comments. She preferred to offer up a generic “What’s up Australia? How you feeling tonight? It’s so good to be here tonight. Your country is beautiful.”

The biggest complaint, from a group who is demanding a refund, was the fact that Spears was lip-syncing throughout the performance. They claim they would not have bought tickets if they had known Britney wouldn’t actually be singing.

Musician John Mayer, who happened to also be in Australia to promote his new album Battle Studies, hit his Twitter page to comment on the controversy. He ‘tweeted’, “If you’re shocked that Britney was lip-syncing at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you.”
