Easy Rider actor Dennis Hopper, who recently finished shooting his second season of the TV series Crash, has prostate cancer. The news comes just one month after the actor was rushed to a Manhattan hospital with flu-like symptoms. He is currently undergoing a special treatment program at the University of South California.

According to Hopper’s rep Sam Maydew, the 73-year-old has been forced to cancel a much anticipated trip to Australia. The actor’s artwork and photography will be showcased in the exhibition “Dennis Hopper and the New Hollywood” beginning November 12, 2009 at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne.
