Barry Dennan, an ex-boyfriend from singer Barbra Streisand‘s past has surfaced after 50 years and plans to cash in on the singing star’s name and reputation.
Dennan is preparing to auction off recordings of Barbra’s early performance’s, hoping to rake in $1 million. This isn’t the first time that her ex has ‘thrown her under the bus’. He published his memoirs My Life With Barbra: A Love Story in 1997.
Barry told the New York Post, “I refused to give the tapes back. I said, ‘No. They are the only things I have left of our collaboration’. I’m a little trepidatious. I don’t know what the fallout will be. I don’t like upsetting Barbra, and I don’t want her fans angry with me.”
The auction is set to be on MomentsInTime.com, but Streisand’s legal team is taking steps to have it blocked.
What might you find on the recordings? Songs from a rehearsal at a New York nightclub with the songs, Keepin’ Out of Mischief Now, I Want to be Bad, Love Come Back to Me and Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf.
