It is hard to believe that country sensation Brooks & Dunn are calling it quits after 20 years. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn joined forces in 1991 and right from the get-go they proved to be a huge success with four singles hitting the charts on their first album Brand New Man.

The two made an announcement on their website yesterday, “After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it’s time (to) call it a day. This ride has been everything and more than we could have ever dreamed…we owe it all to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don’t believe them, it’s just time.”

There are way too many awards that these gentlemen received to list but what should be noted is that they were the only duo in country music to get the Top Duo category at the Country Music Awards every year except one from 1992 to 2006 and received 15 Top Vocal Duo awards from the Academy of Country Music.

How soon will they go their separate ways? No worries–you still have time to catch their act before the end. Brooks & Dunn will release their #1s Ones…and Then Some album in September and will begin setting their schedule dates for The Last Rodeo Tour 2010.
