Hugh Jackman was honored in Los Angeles earlier this week by having his hand and footprints cast in cement at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The ceremony was hosted by nighttime talk show host Jay Leno, who fell ill the next day and landed in the hospital.
Jackman is among a long list of Hollywood celebrities who have had their handprints and accompanying signature become part of the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame. The signed plaques have been a fixture since 1920.
The actor’s new movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine will hit theaters May 1. He recently received rave reviews for his hosting gig at the 81st Annual Academy Awards. Check out his opening song and dance number with Anne Hathaway.
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the fact that Hugh was named People magazine’s ‘Sexist Man Alive‘ in November 2008.
Jackman has been married to Deborra-Lee Furness since 1996. The couple have two children, Oscar, nearly 9, and Ava, 3. Check out more photos below, including recent pics of the Jackman family at Disneyland.
