While his mother, actress Farrah Fawcett remains in the hospital, Redmond O’Neal has found himself in trouble with the law yet again. Redmond was arrested Sunday morning for possession of narcotics and if that isn’t bad enough, he is also charged with trying to bring them into a Los Angeles jail. We’re not joking.
A spokesman for the L.A. sheriff’s department said; “At about 9:30 a.m., our deputies did a routine security check in the parking lot of one of our jails. Redmond O’Neal was driving the vehicle, and admitted to the deputies that he was in possession of drugs.”
Although he was not busted handing the drugs over to an inmate, the parking lot is considered “the jail” and is a secure area. We would suggest immediate treatment for this sorry soul but that is where he was until Wednesday – when he was thrown out of the Clearview Treatment Center for failing a drug test. This guy needs major help!
O’Neal is on probation for a DUI conviction from June of 2008 as well as a September 2008 drug bust at the home of his father, actor Ryan O’Neal, who was also arrested. Ryan’s daughter Tatum O’Neal has had her own share of trouble involving drug arrests.
