Reese Witherspoon graced the red carpet on Sunday at the Los Angeles premiere of Monsters vs Aliens at Gibson’s Amphitheater at Universal City Walk. It also happened to be the birthday of the 33-year-old, which led her fellow cast members to surprise her with a cake (see photo below).
The Sci-Fi animation hits theaters on March 27, 2009. Reese is the voice of Susan Murphy. The movie premise is that a meteorite from outer space hits a young girl and turns her into a giant monster. She is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years.
We happen to think that Witherspoon always looks stunning but we can’t make up our mind about the ensemble she chose for this premiere. The super-short dress by Rodarte, doesn’t seem to flatter her. Dare we say, it even makes her upper legs look a little thick. We’re just saying….
