LaKisha Jones, who finished 4th on American Idol season 6, married financial adviser Larry Davis at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Sunday.
About 50 family and friends, including Idol alums Sanjaya Malakar, Melinda Doolittle, Gina Glocksen, and Haley Scarnato attended the old-fashioned Hollywood glamour themed wedding.
The bride wore a strapless Alfred Angelo gown, custom crystal-encrusted Stuart Weitzman shoes, and diamond jewelry by Neil Lane.
LaKisha’s five-year-old daughter Brianne served as junior bridesmaid and flower girl.
Jones, 28, a Flint, Michigan native, met Davis through mutual friends in Houston, TX. Although the former American Idol contestant spent the first 20 years of her life in Michigan, she considers Houston her home.
Davis proposed in June, surprising Jones, who is a purse fanatic, with a Louis Vuitton handbag that belonged to his late mother. Inside was a card that read ‘Happy today, happy together, happy forever … ‘
The couple will honeymoon in Barbados.
