Jenny McCarthy got her start thanks to Playboy magazine in October 1993 and was named Playmate of the Year in June 1994. She went on to a career in television and films. The 35 year old actress made a return trip to the mansion for the 2nd Annual Leather Meets Lace event that will benefit her charity Generation Rescue.
The mother of 6 year old Evan, McCarthy saw a decline in her son’s well being after he received his childhood vaccination’s at age 18 months. He was eventually diagnosed with autism which prompted Jenny to author Louder Than Words: A Mother’s Journey in Healing Autism.
She has been on a crusade to spread the word about one of the pitfalls of childhood immunizations, something that is not embraced by the medical community. McCarthy is in a long term relationship with comedic actor Jim Carrey, who has lent his name and celebrity to her activism campaign.
Jenny McCarthy obviously still appreciates the start that Hugh Hefner‘s empire gave her, if her attentiveness to the octogenarian is any indication. She’s not the only attentive former Playmate.
