This takes the cake and if it gets him off, well clearly O.J. Simpson is invincible. After 3 weeks of testimony the decision of Simpson’s fate is now up to 12 jurors.
This time the ex football player is defending his actions on charges that include armed robbery and kidnapping in a raid of two sports memorabilia dealers. He is facing a life sentence if convicted on all counts.
Here are snippets from the closing statements which will determine whether or not O.J. will be wearing an orange jumpsuit for the rest of his days.
Clark County District Attorney David Rogers:
“In the State of Nevada, we are a civilized society. If property is taken from us, we don’t go into rooms with guns and demand our property. That is robbery.”
O.J.’s lawyer Yale Galanter:
“I will be the first to tell you, doing this on your own, going into a hotel room to get back your stolen stuff, is not bright. It’s just not bright. But being stupid and being frustrated is not being a crook.”
Say What? Are you kidding me? I am not a lawyer or judge or an expert on the law, but what I do know is that if you grab a gun and break into a hotel room and make demands , you are gonna get yourself into BIG trouble. Good Luck O.J. because it sounds like your legal team may not be up to the challenge of saving your neck.
