Lindsay Lohan recently did a photo shoot to help launch the Visa Swap 2008 campaign for old, unwanted but still wearable clothing, shoes and bags. Fashion savvy consumers who have bulging closets of unwanted clothing are asked to gather up their goods and head to the Visa Swap store in London’s Covent Garden during the next six weeks.

Those donating apparel can earn points toward vintage and second hand fashion ‘must haves’ that have been dropped off by other fashion minded donors. The more exclusive and unique the garment, the more point the donor receives toward their own purchases. The big swap event takes place on the final weekend beginning July 19th. All remaining items will be donated to the popular London clothing charity Traid.

Lohan has donated an Issa dress, two pairs of Jimmy Choo heels and a Miu Miu bag from her own closet. Mischa Barton was the celebrity spokesperson for the campaign last year. The initiative works to highlight and encourage everyone to do a bit of fashion recycling.
