Tori Spelling will get another shot at playing Donna Martin on the new CW series 90210. The actress starred on the earlier Beverly Hills 90210 teen soap in the 1990’s and expressed a desire to land a spot on the new show.
Spelling, daughter of the late Aaron Spelling, is married to actor Dean McDermott. They have a one year old son Liam and are expecting a daughter later this summer.
Tori will have a spot in the pilot, though it is unclear yet whether it will be a guest spot or a continuing role. Details remain sketchy but we do know that Spellings character Donna Martin is involved in a shopping scene. In an interview with Access Hollywood in March, Tori said:
I would love to be a part of it. Who would I play? I would play the sexy — stepmother of course because I couldn’t possibly have a teenage daughter.”
