Being disappointed in his daughter may not have been the exact words coming out of his mouth, but Michael Lohan spoke with US magazine yesterday about Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming role in the Charles Manson movie Manson Girls. Lindsay will be starring as one of the Manson cult followers.
Michael told USmagazine.com:
“I really hope that Lindsay gets back to the kind of films that led to her success. I would like to see her do more mainstream films.”
“When you’re the kind of star that Lindsay is, you have to appeal to a general audience, not just a specific audience.”
While this is not a complete list of movies that Lohan is famous for, here are a few that I remember: The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Herby Fully Loaded and her latest flop I know Who killed Me.
Lohan’s ‘star appeal’ was geared toward children and she has screwed that up with umpteen arrests. She appears to be taking what she can get. How many big Hollywood producers do you think are ready to take a gamble?
When Michael was questioned about Lindsay’s latest media stir, the “sex tape” that ex boyfriend Calum Best was supposed to have released to the media, he said that he finds it unfair that celebrities can’t have private lives. He finds it disgusting that people would secretly record video tapes.
Maybe Lindsay’s daddy has forgotten that his lil’ sweetie has put herself out there for the media to devour. I was always told if it doesn’t taste good spit it out.
