Richie Sambora was stopped by police last night for suspicion of driving while drunk. He was in the company of his girlfriend, his 10 year old daughter Ava and her friend. Ava is also the daughter of Heather Locklear, who is divorced from Sambora.
The lead guitarist for Bon Jovi has had a previous stint in rehab back in June 2007. He had a one year relationship with Denise Richards after splitting with her best friend Locklear, but that too has ended. Sambora’s father died of lung cancer during this same period of time, making 2007 a year of multiple personal problems for the musician.
Sambora was released at 4:00 a.m. this morning after being charged with DUI. His arraignment will take place on May 7, 2008. He is slated to perform with Bon Jovi in Denver on Monday.
